If you’re like me, you have a thing for washi tape. I’ve got rolls and rolls of it. Seriously. It’s becoming a real problem. I either need to start making our clothes out of washi tape (Pinterest, is that an option?) or I need to actually use it for some of the awesome projects I’ve seen. I gathered some of my favorites to show you because I’m hoping I’m not alone in my addiction and that these might inspire you as well!
Let’s start with making every day items cute. Here were some of the cute, and more importantly easy, ways to use washi to add some color and fun to the things you use the most.
One of my favorite ways to use washi tape is to embellish cards or packages. Just the addition of a stripe of pattern or color changes the entire look of a gift.
Aside from washi’s cuteness, I love that it’s not insanely sticky. Repositionable for when I don’t get it put on perfectly straight the first time, strong enough to hold photos or notes, but not so sticky that it rips my paint off. That’s what I call striking the perfect balance. Way to go washi - someone thought this stuff through.
These next projects should probably be in their own board in my Pinterest account labeled “all-stars of washi” because they blew my mind with the creativity of their projects. I love when people think outside the box and use products in unusual ways, but when it turns out as well as these did it’s even more incredible!
